It looks like this subject has not been forgotten after all.  Here is Little Donny Boys latest, through postman Allen Petersen of course.

INVITATION
In association with the National Vietnam Veterans’ Museum at Phillip Island,
I would like to invite friends, family, veterans and their family members to the launch of my new book – Anzacs Betrayed

Where: The Museum, Newhaven, Phillip Island, Victoria
When: Wednesday, 21st August at 1100 hrs
Refreshments will be provided

Anzacs Betrayed is an analysis of one of the more sordid matters from the Vietnam War– why the 2nd D&E Platoon was deleted from all histories of the war, and of the 40-year battle to validate it.

‘…events, unparalleled in Australian military history….’
(Frank Walker, journalist and author)
It was a battle that pitted veteran against veteran, mate against mate- and in the process exposed endemic military corruption, the vainglorious pursuit of gallantry medals by senior army officers, and the falsification of history to cover up a series of atrocities committed in the field on May 29th 1969.
The cover-up reached the highest levels of the military and the government– and resulted in death threats, an orchestrated campaign of denigration and vitriol against former platoon members, and actual physical violence.
Anzacs Betrayed answers all the questions.  This is where I put up, and then shut up-
- the key players
- the documents
- the letters
- the photographs
- the vitriol
- the arguments for and against
- media reports
Here are the facts and the evidence– and what part the AWM and the ADF played in this controversial matter.
The Major Pound Report and Investigations
For the first time, Anzacs Betrayed will include the infamous Maj Gordon Pound Report and the documents located within the National Archives titled– ATROCITY ALLEGATIONS- SOUTH VIETNAM, 3 CAV
SUPPORTING THE NATIONAL VIETNAM VETERANS MUSEUM
Paperback copies of Anzacs Betrayed will only be available from the National Vietnam Museum, and by agreement with the Museum, they will receive 60% of all profits from the soft copy editions of this book.
This will be a measure of giving back to the veterans of Australia. I trust it will assist the Museum to maintain its position as the premier Vietnam Museum in Australia.
Anzacs Betrayed is written in the same style as my best-selling memoir The War Within (which is also available at the Museum).
It is of 310 pages, and retails at $35 (plus $10 for packaging and handling anywhere in Australia).
Orders for Anzacs Betrayed may be made direct to the Museum at: (03) 5956 6400
I will be speaking at the launch- and showing a new, 20-minute version of my colour movies from the war- pertinent to the book.
This is an opportunity not only to get one of the first copies of Anzacs Betrayed, but to visit an iconic museum focussed on the Vietnam War- a must for every veteran of the war.
Everyone is welcome
